The House of Sonship has its base in Jaipur, India. This royal city boasts of its beautiful and intricate handcrafts and has attracted creatives and cultural enthusiasts to come and explore its wonders for the past many years.
When Aussie Couple, Bob and Janine Mann first visited Jaipur in 2000, they felt they were called to this place to serve and share life with the people here. First hand seeing the plight of India’s poor and meeting all walks of society including artisans desiring to show the world their God given talents. Lack of opportunity alone has for generations prevented them from doing so. With no design background themselves but having a strong belief that the God who made them Sons in Christ Jesus would provide all that they need for the creative journey they were going to embark on.
They started a sewing training centre in 2004 for 20-30 young women from the slums of jaipur.
These women have gone on to sew school uniforms for schools in Australia and are now being trained to help with designer clothing.
WHY ‘SONSHIP’
Our Sonship that comes through Christ Jesus is a privilege that God made possible for us. Without our Sonship we wouldn’t have any hope and would have been lost. We believe now that our ‘Sonship’ in God compels and enables us to serve people wherever we are. Having done so here in Rajasthan for many years, through education and training programs we felt there was an avenue to broaden our service internationally.
The Team at Sonship enterprises aims to create a platform where the artisans teamed with us will be able to showcase their hand made products to the world and you can in turn sow back into their lives by your purchases.
Management and staff of Sonship Enterprises guarantee firstly – to serve our customers with stylish and high quality products in integrity, fairness and honesty, and secondly – to serve the poor and underprivileged children and women of India with the profits from our work.
All our products are designed in-house or sourced responsibly from vendor partners with a similar design aesthetic and vision. Our wonderful team of artisans are our inspiration and we aim to uplift and empower them and their crafts through this endeavour.
OUR VISION
Sonship Enterprises is not for making profits for itself or its directors, but for simply creating funds to contribute towards, and participate in, the work of the upliftment of the poor children and women of Rajasthan India. Profits generated from the business are used for the below-mentioned purpose.

To support such goals we have experienced and skilled staff on our team, and also we are increasingly training young men and women in the fields of products we provide for our customers.
